About Stepping Stones School

Stepping Stones is a school where children with mild disabilities / hemiplegia can really thrive and fulfil their potential. We believe in providng the children with a caring, fun environment where they can truly benefit from a bespoke curriculum, technologically innovative teaching practices and the chance to grow and develop into confident, independent young men and women.

We understand the difficulties and care about the challenges that a young person with disabilities faces. We want their time at Stepping Stones to be one where they grow both academically and socially.

Ditto re finding the right place, but hugely impressed with all I see on the website and what looks to be a terrific set up. A huge amount of care and effort has obviously put into Stepping Stones.

I Now Have A New Blog Site, Courtesy Of Jonathan :)
The site is Here, and it will be updated when i can. I am currently trying to improve the layout and add a banner of my own creation, which can be viewed
here.

Thanks, Dan =)

P.S, Any feedback on the banner will be greatly appreciated!

Submitted by Jonathan Furness on Fri, 2006-08-25 07:25.

Cool banner, Dan.... though you might make adjustments to its width when you add this to your blog site as most screen sizes are at least 800 pixels or 1024 pixels wide - some significantly wider. It does depend if you want your banner graphic to stretch across the page width however, you make not want that.

Happy to show you how to customise your blog site and add this banner graphic.

I'm impressed that you managed to insert a graphic and hyperlink into your comment. Did you use HTML?

Submitted by visitor on Fri, 2006-08-25 11:50.

Yes, I used HTML to insert the banner, i inserted it using this method.

ill be willing to change the banner to fit the page, but i do not know how to customise the site, e.g. add a background, banner etc.

I will be grateful if i was shown how to do it =)

Stepping Stones is one of several schools chosen to showcase pupil's digital creativity work to an audience of BBC, DfES, film and media people.

Hello Amy,

Great to hear from you - all the way from South Africa. I've been tracking the hits on the website and see the red dot which must be you and your dad :-)

Yours is the red dot right at the bottom of South Africa, Cape Town...

Enjoy the rest of your time with the lions, elephants, giraffe, rhinos .... try not to get too attached to them and bring them home... ;-)

Submitted by visitor on Thu, 2006-12-28 16:30.

Amy, you might have seen that I have created a tool for people to vote on their favourite Advent Calendar day. Perhaps you could try txting your vote to the webpage from South Africa? What do you think?

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry but i think i can't bring one home because its to big to fit on the plan. But i try and see what i can do.

Submitted by Jonathan Furness on Fri, 2006-12-29 19:53.

Ok.. no problem... if the giraffe is too difficult, I'll settle for a zebra. :-)

Happy New Year Amy and the rest of the family.
