Hemiplegia and Education

putty being used during physiotherapy sessions

The school is a national centre for excellence for children with hemiplegia. The teaching and support staff at the school are particularly keen to help the child with hemiplegia achieve and fulfill his or her potential in a bespoke and supportive educational environment. We also understand the difficulties that parents may face on negotiating the statementing procedure and we can help.

Additionally, there is provision in certain circumstances to offset the fee with bursaries, whereby parents may be asked to make a contribution as appropriate. This could be financial or a time commitment from a parent. We will also help support students achieve local authority funding.
