Hi Amy, it is lovely to see that you are running a Cinema Club at Stepping Stones. We run one at the school I work at too, called the Popcorn Club! We have a popcorn maker and make popcorn, to help raise funds for our school. Do you think you will have popcorn and drinks at yours? The children get to vote on which film they would like to watch too, but there are still sometimes arguments between the boys and the girls :-). I think my favourite film was Shrek. I wonder which film you would choose? Hope you have lots of fun... :-)

hi, i think that havinga popcorn machine in cinemar
club would be great!!! It would mean that people
dont have to bring their own snacks. Also it
would be great fun to have becuase we could have
different toppings.
please Larry, get it for us!

Hi Lise,
Thank you very much for your comment. The Cinema Club went very well we all talked about having a Popcorn maker in our Cinema Club ! We also voted on the film to be shown using our website.

We watched Cheaper by the Dozen II, it was really funny ! Maybe you can watch it in your Popcorn Club?

My favourite flim has to be Harry Potter !!!
We had lots of fun.

What did you watch this week at your schools club ?

Hi Amy,
It sounds like you all had a great time. I saw the first film of Cheaper by the Dozen but haven't seen the sequel. We only have Popcorn Club at the end of each half term, not nearly so lucky as you :-). I think the next one is in a couple of weeks, when we are going to watch the Chronicles of Narnia, but not sure yet. I found the Chronicles of Narnia a bit boring despite loving the original book so maybe you could write a film review of Cheaper by the Dozen II so that I could persuade the children I work with that it would be a better film to watch instead? Hope you have lots of fun at the next Cinema Club.

Hi Amy,
We have just watched Nanny McPhee at our end of term Popcorn Club. It's a lot like a modern day Mary Poppins, perhaps you have seen it? I enjoyed it very much, but then I enjoy anything with Colin Firth in it... :-). How is your review of popcorn makers coming along? I hope it's going well so that you can have lots of popcorn at the next Cinema Club! Please can you ask Jonathan to look again at the set-out of this comments page, because I find that what I have written disappears off the edge of the right hand side of the screen, when creating a comment. Perhaps it's only a problem using a PC, but I am a bit worried what I have written doesn't make sense, thank you. :-)

It makes perfect sense... I think I've got it ... you would seek to watch something with Colin Firth in it... and it seems that our comments template doesn't work very well on your Windows PC...? :-)

I have looked at upgrading our Stepping Stones site to a newer version, which I thought would correct the layout problems that you describe... but in fact, when I read more, it seemed the newer version had more layout and compatibility issues. :-(

I will keep looking, Lise, and haven't forgotten - but equally don't let me forget, Lise/Amy. Hopefully, I will find a fix sometime soon. Sorry.

Amy, could you find two popcorn machines on the Internet? Perhaps, use Google to search for 'popcorn machines uk'

I have found one machine... Popper Popcorn Machine, it is £19.95 (though currently out of stock). It reports it makes popcorn in only 3 minutes...! and makes 3 litres of popcorn.

Can you find two machines, using the above search and describe them here? Perhaps Lise will help you to review them, if you can find them, and post the web address in your message.

What do you think? Can you do it?

I know you can :-)

Larry, you can find a voting tool on the site where Cinema Club go-ers can choose the film of their choice.

Vote for your film of choice

Thanks to Dan for setting this up. I think the popcorn idea is fantastic.
