Decide how children might be rewarded - as individuals or as teams. This might already be decided for you if the school has a strong team ethos. Make it clear how children will be rewarded - good behaviour, working hard.... children need to know this. Definitely use it for behaviour management. Make it something that the children maintain. e.g. colour in, initial, stick on sticker etc. Be consistent - children know when you aren't and you will never hear the end of it! Best not to take points away - keep it positive.
