Reward charts
Teams vs. Individuals?






  • Decide how children might be rewarded - as individuals or as teams. This might already be decided for you if the school has a strong team ethos.

  • Make it clear how children will be rewarded - good behaviour, working hard.... children need to know this. Definitely use it for behaviour management.

  • Make it something that the children maintain. e.g. colour in, initial, stick on sticker etc.

  • Be consistent - children know when you aren't and you will never hear the end of it!

  • Best not to take points away - keep it positive.
