Day 2: Paintball, Archery and Quad biking at 3 Peaks Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Farnham

Today we returned to the 3 Peaks Outdoor Pursuits centre.

Despite the soaring temperatures, we enjoyed four activities. We completed a mini zip line, much shorter and not as high at the big one, but allowed us all to have a go. We then spent the rest of the day in a large field, shooting paint balls at a target range, with ducks, buckets and targets. This was followed by archery and quad biking.

The photographs from Day 2 pretty much tells the story.

For those who might have missed them, photographs from Day 1.

Another tremendous success for the Stepping Stones students and their friends.A lucky 4-3 "Hangman" win over Jonathan and Larry at lunchtime though.I will be back to win next time but with a partner who can get MALAYSIA.

... no, but then one might have expected a recent visitor to the country, MALAYSIA to have been more familiar with the name... ;-)

Luckily I was on form for solving the last word, MACINTOSH.

It was a very successful day... not only lots of fun, but opportunities for children to confirm their ability to work together as a team, develop friendships, and build confidence in themselves at being able to do some of the most physically demanding activities.

I was particularly delighted at how the pupils and their friends conducted themselves, listening carefully to instructions and following them as asked by the instructors. It made for a very relaxed and enjoyable day... did it show?!

It was an very enjoyable 2 days

I especially enjoyed the quad-biking, although Jonathan
( who was on the back of the bike ), may not agree ;-)

I also overcame my fear of heights, by leaping and zip-wiring off platforms ( See photos )

I am glad that we had the opportunity do all activities.
It was a fantastic experience and it would be great to visit again.

Thank you to all staff that accompanied us through the trip and especially the staff at the centre.

A great two days I especially enjoyed the quad bikes and the paintballing.
I also learnt how to fire a paintball gun at a target.
I would definitely do it again.
Thank you Stepping Stones for giving me the chance to try out so many interesting activities.

Hi Everyone,

You have all been having a wonderful time and very daring as well. I was sorry to have missed the end of term farewell to Julie, but I can see from the photographs that you all really enjoyed the day.

I have eventually settled in my new house and have travelled to Italy for a family holiday, I keep forgetting which country I am in and speaking french, german and most of the time I am never understood HA!

As for Julie there is no escape, I feel a school visit looming!!!

Take care everyone....
