The New school in Hindhead

“A school for children with Hemiplegia opening in September 2004” – a brief introductory article was featured in Issue 40 Spring 2004 of the Hemihelp newsletter.

“The single most important social institution is the place where we hand on our values to the next generation … Schools are where we make children our partners in the long and open-ended task of making a more gracious world”. Prof. Jonathan Sacks

Our intention is to run an inclusive not exclusive school eg. It will be fee based but we expect to be able to receive statemented children where LEAs meet some or all of the fees and to create bursaries and funding support to cover non statemented but appropriate children.

Inclusiveness also extends to the wider hemi community via the Ultralab.net web based learning capability.
