Stepping Stones Team Three Peaks Challenge

This year, the Stepping Stones team are attempting to complete the COINS Three Peaks Challenge event in early May, (6th & 7th)

The challenge involves climbing the three tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, starting on Saturday morning at Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands.

We journey through the night to Scafell Pike in the Lake District, before heading heading off to the final location, Snowdon in North Wales on Sunday evening.

The Stepping Stones team includes:

  • Jonathan Furness
  • Sandy Seagrove
  • Julie Mounfield
  • Jo Sparks
  • Carol Cairns
  • Mieke Uglow (friend of Stepping Stones)
  • Julia Tucker (friend of Stepping Stones)

However, we need your help in raising some money... the most energetic you need to be is attend our Black Tie and Boots Ball on the 22nd April 2006, and/or pledge your support by sponsoring the team on the Just Giving website.

We began training for this event back in early February, combining the use of the gym, the 'Jumps' in Surrey, and walking up Butser Hill in Hampshire.

In late March, we will attempt several practice hikes up Snowdon and in the Brecon Beacons.

Sandy,
I can see that the Ball is Black tie and Boots, does that mean the boys or girls wearing the boots? :-)

Put Total Objects down for a table.

See you all soon.
Jim

Hi Jim

That'll be boys and girls in the walking boots. Thanks for supporting us - a table it is. We will be finalising all the details this week so will send information to you.

What do you think of the website?

Hope everyone is well.

Sandy
