They have a commitment to using their resources (people) to help others. Each year, a team of employees from Goldman Sachs come to work at the Scout HQ in Billericay, Essex to help maintain the building. What I hadn't appreciated was the history that you have discovered above, founded in 1869. I always imagined them to be a relatively new bank.

Well done Dan.
Sat, 24 Feb 2007 01:30:47 +0000 visitor comment 508 at /steppingstones/www Jonathan /steppingstones/www/news/autumn-poem-around-school-environment#comment-507
Hey, that's brilliant, Amie... well done!

Notice how I wasn't given a challenge this time around... yet my desk is looking surprisingly clear at the moment...! ;-)
Sat, 24 Feb 2007 01:26:03 +0000 visitor comment 507 at /steppingstones/www Dan /steppingstones/www/news/autumn-poem-around-school-environment#comment-506
Wall Street: a small street in Manhattan, New York, which is in the heart of the Financial District, and considered the 'home' of the New York Stock Exchange.

The Goldman Sachs are one of the worlds largest investment banks.
